Music has always been my ‘first love’. In college, I discovered my passion for composition over education. Now, 30 years and a couple hundred compositions later, I feel like I’m finally hitting my stride.

My primary instruments are the alto and tenor saxophones, along with drums. I also compose on the piano, though I don’t consider myself a pianist - my dad was a true pianist, a talent far beyond my own. I can also play a bit of bass and guitar.

My influences range from David Sanborn, Joe Sample, Tom Scott, John Legend, and Jamie Cullum, to Billy Joel, Huey Lewis, and Phil Collins, to deadmau5, the Foo Fighters, and even Mozart & Tchaikovsky. Each has shaped the way I hear and compose music, teaching me something unique along the way.
